Blumberg Segal LLP is a full service law firm located at the corner of Bay Street and Richmond Street in the heart of the financial and legal center in Toronto, Canada. HENRY BLUMBERG - Managing Partner - Commercial Litigation, Business Law, Trade Marks, and Wills/Estates
Henry is the managing partner of Blumberg Segal LLP. Henry obtained a B.A. and LL.B at the University of Cape Town. Henry became a lawyer in South Africa in 1966 and joined a firm in Port Elizabeth as a partner in 1967. Henry immigrated to Canada and requalified by attending Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1984 and has practiced law in Toronto ever since.
Henry has lectured at Seneca College on the Mortgage Broker's legislation and related subjects, and he has lectured on the law component of the certification course for mortgage brokers from 1986 to approximately 1996. Henry has been legal counsel to the Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders Foundation. Henry is a Past President of the Canadian Council of South Africans and founded the University of Cape Town Foundation in Canada and has continued to act as Convener. Henry has been involved in the Boy Scouts and was awarded the Queen's Scout Certificate. Henry has recently been appointed to chair the committee of The Canada - South Africa Chamber of Business to select the Chamber's Annual Person of the Year Award.

RONALD SEGAL - Partner, Corporate/Commercial, Commercial Litigation, Trade Marks, and Wills/Estates
Ronald Segal is a partner at the firm of Blumberg Segal LLP in Toronto, Canada. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate/commercial law, trade marks and wills/estates. Ron is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and is also a Notary Public for the Province of Ontario.
He was called to the Ontario Bar in April of 1988. He obtained a bachelors degree in Economics at McGill University in Montreal and obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.

MARK BLUMBERG - Partner, Non-Profits and Charities, Estate Planning
Mark Blumberg is a partner at the law firm of Blumberg Segal LLP in Toronto and works almost exclusively in the areas of non-profit and charity law and philanthropy. He has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto, an LLB from the University of British Columbia and a LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School in Tax Law.

LIZE-MARI SWANEPOEL - Corporate/Commercial, Non-Profits and Charities, and Litigation
Lize-Mari Swanepoel joined the firm of Blumberg Segal LLP as a lawyer in July of 2004 and has since made her areas of practice corporate law, commercial litigation, civil litigation, trade-marks and wills/estates.
Lize-Mari obtained her LL.B. degree (cum laude) in South Africa in 2000 and practiced law as an advocate in Johannesburg, South Africa prior to immigrating to Canada. Lize-Mari was called to the Ontario Bar in July of 2004 and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
SCOTT CHAMBERS- Litigation
Scott Chambers joined Blumberg Segal LLP in 2006 in the area of commercial litigation including shareholder disputes, estate litigation, contract law, and employment law. He has a B.A. in History from the University of Calgary and obtained his J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2004. KATE ROBERTSON - Non-Profits and Charities and Corporate/Commercial
Kate Robertson joined the firm in 2011 and practices primarily in the areas of charity and non-profit law and corporate/commercial law. Prior to joining the firm, Kate completed her articles at a boutique law firm, where she was involved in the areas of charity and non-profit law. She received her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 2010. While in law school, Kate gained significant legal experience as a Policy Analyst and Charities Officer for the Charities Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Kate obtained a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University in New York State, where she competed at the Division One level on a volleyball scholarship. Kate was called to the Ontario bar in 2011. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association.
